SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOW?
    It has happened, EBOLA is now in the United States. I fear the CDC is another Government lying entity. Are you going to be able to avoid coming in contact with someone with the Ebola Virus? How will you know if there infected? They are saying it can take up to 21 days for signs to start showing , yet you are contagious almost immediately.
    I just bought a box of 20 N 95 masks for our family and if I can find them again next payday I am buying another box of 20. Also Nitrile gloves (100 count), and I just bought 6 bottles of hand sanitizer (pint size). Will it stop me from being infected? Not sure but since they are saying it is thru bodily contact and bodily fluids I am hoping it will do the job.
    Also we went to that DEPOT store and I got 2 rolls of 250' 6 mil plastic sheeting and several rolls of duct tape. I can if needed make a quarantine room in my house.

    I have been buying a few paperweights, you know the kind that holds down papers? Just got a new drill press and a nice pattern block to make things out of those paperweights. It's a nice feeling to see the results of some pretty simple metal working ability on my part. I would also advise anyone that is wanting to try to "Roll your own" to plan on it taking a couple of hours to maybe a day or two. Don't rush it take your time it will turn out fine. You-tube is your friend! Also might want to pick up a few lower repair kits for between 22-30 dollars, just to have on hand incase a spring or two decide to fly away to who knows where.

Well I hope it's not to late.

Been kinda worried about all the preps I have been making. You know buying Beans, Bullets (if you can find any for sale that is), and Band-Aid. Just purchased a few of the EBR parts. Was going to use the old debit card, but something told me not too. So I used a USPS MO and another order was cash (you know that funny green stuff that seems like no one uses anymore) Reasoning? Cash is very hard to trace. So I made up my mind that from now on the only use for debit cards are bill paying, putting gas in the car,and taking cash out of the bank etc. etc.

All other purchases such as food, ammo, and prepping supplies will be a cash only deal. Will only be buying a few things at COSTCO as you have to use there card which keeps a record of your purchases on there computer records. And with the fact El Presidente and his minions ( DHS Secretary, Big Sis) the less the damn government knows the better for me.

I have actually been mulling over the thought of renting a PO BOX at say the UPS store or mail boxes etc. As just another layer of protection. Also I wouldn't have boxes showing up on the front porch when I am not home.

Ok enough about the scary old government and there snooping on us private citizens. Found out that here in The Peoples Republic of California, your brand new drivers license has a RFID chip in them now.

Ok boys and girls, this is what you need to do to destroy the chip in an unnoticeable manner:

1. Put your driver's license in the microwave for 5 seconds. We did for 10 seconds.
2. Put it back into your wallet or wherever you keep it and smile knowing that your privacy just increased.

Amazingly simple solution to and insidious item. I refuse to allow this communist state to track my movements.

Well it seems like ammo is starting to reappear at a few sights. Wally World has decided to limit your purchases to 3 boxes total of your choice of calibers. So you can buy 3 boxes of .22's or 3 boxes of 5.56 but not 3 boxes each. Wife hates the fact I make her go with me when I buy ammo.

Ok breakfast is calling Homemade apple cinnamon brown sugar oatmeal and a few strips of bacon.

Early morning rise...

So woke this morning at O' dark thirty, (thank god for the brew of the gods). Seems that something happened yesterday, can't quit thinking about what it might have been.

Oh yeah El Presidente sworn in to office. I am thinking this might be the last time, unless he decides to become El Presidente for life.

As for this morning I quietly was thinking, ok what else needs to be added to the supplies and food preps. Since our local Wally World is no longer carrying Ammo of late. I know it is because of the impending legislation and of course the lack of manufacturers being able to supply it. Could it also be that our government is making orders for BILLIONS of rounds to be bought? Since most government contract have a very small print line in them that states, Paraphrasing here, "To be supplied as needed" Meaning we may not call for all of it at once but when we do you gotta have the total order read with in X number of days. This just makes the suppliers expend all of there production hours getting the damn order ready and holding it until El Presidente say ok ship it. So they do not manufacture anything but this order so as to have it if called upon to fill the order.

So if they can't take our guns, then we will tie up the ammo so you can't have any to use in your firearms. Progressive Liberals are not totally stupid. I even tried to purchase some primers for reloading and even those parts are getting hard to find due to ammo manufactures buying all the can make to fill the government orders. And by the way who cares that the government takes all that ammo and stores it in bunkers on our dime.

Just so you know a good friend of mine that runs an Army & Navy Surplus Store was just down to an auction in Southern California and saw pallet after pallet of 5.56 & 7.62 waiting to be destroyed rather than to allow it to be bought. Hell why didn't they allow our boys to shoot it up if nothing else.

He tried to bid on ammo cans and the price was run up so high by other bidders that he couldn't afford them. Winning bidders had equipment on sight to grind them up into scrap metal. Seems the scrap price was higher than the sell surplus price. Used military surplus right now is commanding a huge price.

Damn flu bug!

  

Ok not a conspiracy theory nut but this must be one damn bad flu if it is all over the nation and has killed so many people so far, 20 children and an unknown number of adults. Has this reached SHTF proportion? NO but it makes me wonder if all these "flu shots" are truly working or not. Seems to me people panic at the slightest little perceived danger.

 

   I also believe that as a hospital worker I can be infected with a multitude of things. Wash and disinfect your hands several times a day, use hand sanitizer whenever your in contact with sick or infected people, wear a particulate mask if things get really bad in your area.

   So on to other things, eat right, exercise, and generally take good care of yourself. I tend to follow my Grandmothers way, (God bless her departed soul). That lady always had a pot of soup on the back burner of the stove. I truly believe that chicken soup is good for staving off a cold or just good for your soul. Winter time I tend to so as she did keep a pot of soup or stew on the back burner on a very low heat and have a bowl whenever I come in from outside. Exercise? Man , just loading wood or splitting it right now makes up my exercise. Woke this morning to 33 degree temp. Glad I got the wood in last evening, LOL.

   Do you take a simple multi-vitamin? Well you should! Since I have started taking them I have noticed a slight increase in metabolism and energy. And I have, (knock on wood) not been sick with a cold or flu this year so far. I did suffer from a sinus infection though about a week ago Amazing what a round of antibiotics can do for you.

OK I HAVE DECIDED...

I am going to continue to post my feelings and thoughts no matter if anyone reads them or not.

I have made a decision that I will not comply with any gun grabs the federal government, or for that matter state government, tries to enforce on my 2nd amendment. As I am soon to be 55 years of age, my beautiful wife who I love dearly, and no children in the household, I have decided to resist this "GUN GRAB" because I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees. I have no doubt that I will die. But please Mr LEO, do not think I will go willingly. A single individual cannot survive a government demand for slavery.

Second Amendment to the United States Constitution reads:

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

 

As ratified by the States and authenticated by Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State.

What this means to me is, I, as a citizen of this great country have a God given right to be able to use "ANY" firearm or weapon of my choosing that is currently in the United Sates Military Arsenal. For the following reasons (in no particular order):

• deterring tyrannical government;
• repelling invasion;
• suppressing insurrection;
• facilitating a natural right of self-defense;
• participating in law enforcement;
• enabling the people to organize a militia system

The key wording in the 2nd amendment is "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED". What is the meaning of the word INFRINGED?

The Dictionary says:

Definition of INFRINGE

transitive verb

1.

to commit a breach or infraction of; violate or transgress: to infringe a copyright; to infringe a rule.

verb (used without object)

2.

to encroach or trespass (usually followed by on  or upon  ): Don't infringe on his privacy.

 

In a basic statement YOU CAN'T MAKE A LAW THAT TAKES THIS AWAY FROM ME! In any way shape or form, end of statement. I have a God given right to defend myself with whatever means I choose to.

 

When the Government passes a law that is acted upon that states Clearly and Distinctly that:

 

ANY person in the commission of ANY crime, having a firearm in possession, is to be put to death immediately upon conviction of the crime. No Legal appeals no bargaining away the charges (ABSOLUETLY NO LIFE IN JAIL OR A JUDGE BEING ABLE TO DISMISS THE CHARGE.) Aso make the damn execution a public event (All prisoners to be forced to watch).

 

Use a gun and you will be hung by the neck until dead or execute them in the same manor as their victims. It is bullshit to think that criminals don't worry about the death penalty. (now they don't except maybe in TEXAS as they seem to be the only ones that use it anymore).

Been a long time since I last posted.

Hope all is well with the patriots of this fine country.Well I see the our interior army (DHS) has decided that they needs to "AMMO UP" for the coming "Civil War". 450 Million rounds of Hollow Point Ammo. wich is almost 2 1/2 times more expenxive than standard FMJ which your most average Police dept uses to practise on the range. And even our military uses FMJ in combat, so can someone explian why the DHS need Hollow Point ammo?

   It's been a few too many long months since me last post. My God Given Beautiful WIFE, ask me why I haven't been posting. I also ordered 50# of white navies ($52.50) and 50# of Yellow Popcorn ($48.00 Damn it has almost doubled since last order) should be in next Tuesday.

And have found that I can dehydrate frozen hash brown potatoes. So dehydrator has not been off for almost 3 weeks now. Next on the list is Dehydrating choped garlic although I think I can get 15# bags for almost what i pay for the fresh before dehydrating.

OK so now the war is on

Well now, first I was called a terrorist because I am white, over 50, and a conservative. And now I am being told "The war is on"' by a half baked union thug wanna be? Well let me just say that my Daddy, God rest his soul, that served 30+ years in the United States Army, once informed me that there was only one rule in a fight. What was that one rule you ask?

"There are no rules in any fight, you do what you have to do to win."

And if a bunch of left wing union thugs think that a threat is going to scare me, they better think again. They bring a ball bat I will bring a gun. They think that they can intimidate me at the polling place they better bring more friends than I have bullets. Just so there's no misunderstanding, I prefer the ballot box to bullets but am not afraid of either one. I have been shot at, almost blown up, and these clowns are going to try to threaten me? I am not afraid of dying, though I would prefer to live. I took an oath over 30 + years ago to defend the constitution of this great country. I still hold to that oath. So Mr Hoffa, (and I use the term Mister extremely loosely), Step up and take your best shot you communist bastard. And while we are cleaning up this Country I intend make sure your little black flunky President stands trial for treason if at all possible along with you and anyone else that leans your damn direction.

   Been sorta out of it with finding out a best friend lost his life in Iraq about 3 weeks ago. Funny how a Blog can suddenly take a back seat to life. This young man was a dear friend of our family. I remember a day when he was about 8 and came knocking on my front door, "Sir, I am trying to find work cause my momma just lost her job and I gotta take care of her." I ask him "Son what kind of work can you do?" He looked at me with a mist in his eyes and said "Anything I have too. Cause I am the man of our home and my Momma needs me to take care of her." At this time I really didn't know the family very well. So I told him "If you come back tomorrow I'll see what I can find for you to do." That young man was on my door step at 8 am sharp. I gave him a rake and told him my back yard needed the leaves raked up. He never once ask how much was I going to pay, I guess his need for work was weighing heavily on his mind. The wife made him breakfast after about 20 minutes into his job, He was a very polite young man, and quickly ate and asked if he could get back to raking leaves. He had that back yard raked up and was putting the leaves in a garbage can in about an hour and a half. When he was done he came and asked if there was anything else he could do? I said not today.

   "So son, what do you figure your time was worth on this job?" He thought a minute and sort of unsure said "Would $5.00 be too much to ask?" I asked if he felt that 1 and 1/2 hours work for $5.00 would be a fair man wage? He seemed to be unsure of what I was asking. So I told him that if I paid him $5.00 for the job it would only work out to be $3.33 and hour. I asked him "Don't you think I should pay a man a fair days wage for a fair days work?" He thought a minute and said that it seemed fair I should. So I told him that if he was willing I needed a young man that could do a few things around my house on occasions, and would he be willing to take on that job? I told him I would pay $8.00 an hour on the condition that I spoke with his mother and felt that she had no problems with him working for me.

   He said he would ask her that evening. Next morning at 8 AM sharp both he and his mother were at our door. I welcomed them both in and we shared a cup of coffee (he had a glass of milk, I wasn't about to start corrupting the boy this early in our relationship), LOL. That came much later. I asked him if he was willing to start working today? He had a huge smile and said "Yes Sir! Just tell me what you want done?" Said "My truck could use a wash." Go out and get the hose ready." This gave his Mother and I a chance to chat. I made sure she understood that he came to me looking for a job at 8 years old. She seems a bit embarrassed, I told her don't be he is doing a what a young man is supposed to do. I promised her I would not allow him to get hurt, dirty yes, injured or hurt no. Seems the father had cut out early in his life and he was all his mother had. Her and my wife took a strong liking to each other and that was that.

   Over the many years Tom "worked" for me, we had some very long talks about life, most of them over a fishing pole and a can of worms on a lake side. I tried to give him direction and love, he was like a grandson to me. And his mother was like the daughter I never had. We had them down to our house on a weekly basis for a nice meal on Saturdays or Sundays. Lots of good talk. I still remember the day Tom came over and told me he was going to have to stop "working" for me. I said "can you tell me why your going to quit on me?" We both kinda smiled and laughed about "Well Pops, your not the best wage payer I have worked for." And then he said "And I think I have decided I am going to join the Army, they will train me, give me money to go to school on. Moms got a really good job thanks to your wife and you were pulling a few strings. That was 3 years ago,  I received a phone call on the 2nd of August that Tom had been killed while on patrol in some area of Iraq. His Mother requested that I please say a few words about Tom and mines relationship at his wake and eulogy. I also met two of Toms buddies who were pawl bearers at his funeral.

The tears still flow freely... I am sorry but I shall end this now maybe later I can see a little clearer.

    Oh and by the way I was once referred to as a "survivalist" (70-80's) now fondly called a "Prepper" (2010) more political correct? Who gives a S**t, I plan to not starve nor my family. Every payday, I buy something to put in the "pantry" I watch sales, coupons, and just listen to others talking about what was on sale at the market. I also go to the farmers market and look for deals or better yet ask for deals.

    Trying to up my survival skills by learning anything I can that will make life a little easier if the infrastructure as we know it, fails. I buy hand tools for wood working, Lumber off Craig's List, When someone wants "firewood" hauled off I check it out and as long as it is not pressure treated wood I take it. I am not a mechanic but I am damn well learning to do a lot of my own repairs now. It ain't all that hard to replace a radiator hose, change a tire, which by the way when was the last time you actually, physically, inspected your spare for correct tire pressure and condition? Where's the jack? Can you physically change your own tire? AAA road service may not be there when you need them.

    I am also forcing myself to walk at least a mile everyday at a fairly brisk pace. In a few weeks I am going to be adding a 20 pound pack on my walks. Increasing the distance on a weekly basis, Just trying to add a couple more blocks to the distance each week will increase your stamina.

   Also getting those appointments to the Doctor and Dentist to have those little things done that I have been putting off. SHTF situation who you gonna call? NO ONE you'll be on your own.

    If you haven't started then get busy, buy canned food, rice, beans, A water filter, and a myriad of other options needed for survival. Cause if you think this Government is going to take care of you, your sadly and gravely mistaken.

    At the risk of sounding like a broken record, "BUY A FIREARM & AMMUNITION" not going to tell you which firearm AK-47, AR-15, Grandpa's old huntin' rifle, 12 gauge, .22 LR, a Pistol (in a multitude of calibers offers) and as much ammunition as you can afford. Cause you will need it to defend against "The Golden Horde" and maybe some other types who do not take there oath seriously, to protect what food and supplies you have.  If I sign an agreement and "Voluntarily" give up my right to free speech, fine! But just because I buy a house, condo, trailer, or any other domicile. That's "Private Property" What I so choose to display on MY PROPERTY is my business. You don't have to read it, look at it, or by god agree with it. Don't like my Christian Cross on my Lawn, tough get your own place and put your Atheist altar on your own damn lawn. PRIVATE PROPERTY is just that Private and OWNED by me.

All I can say is I will defend my home against any and all detractors of the Constitution.

Took this oath 35 years ago and I still stand behind it:

Good Samaritan shot feeding US homeless

The generosity of a man and his family known on the streets of a Californian city for feeding the homeless and downtrodden has been rewarded in one of the worst ways imaginable - with a bullet to his head and fighting for his life in hospital.

Known in the Oakland neighbourhood as Brother John, the 29-year-old man and his 35-year-old wife for more than a year cooked hot meals at their home and with their young children in tow - first in a pickup and recently in a van equipped with a hot plate - drove a regular route to make sure the less fortunate had a decent meal.

Early on Wednesday, someone in a vehicle opened fire on their van moments after they served a fish dinner to one of their regulars.

Things I remember on "Memorial Day"

 My Father, who passed away in 2000. A career Army NCO with 30 years 6 months of Honorable service to this country. A man that took me 35 years to truly know and understand. Being that I was born in 1958, (yeah I know old) and the fact he served in the very last days of WWII, Korea, and even Vietnam, (64-69)
Having been wounded 13 times,

 Purple Heart
 

awarded the Silver Star,
 

Bronze Star twice, 
 

and almost every medal that the Korean Goverment and the Vietnam Goverment gave to a foriegn Service man.

What did my father do in the military? He was a combat medic, so I am sure you can understand when he came home he was a little messed up. Not crazy but suffering from what we now call "Delayed Stress Syndrome" Am I proud of my old man? YOU DAMN WELL BETCHA I AM!
  
I pray the God will allow me to be at least half the man My Dad was. I am also glad my father didn't live to see what has happened to this country and what it has become.

The loss of our 4th amendment right:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Cause I can sure tell you that if the police tried to serve a warrant to me the way they did to others by just yelling warrant and kicking open my door, at 3 am. Well lets just say I won't be the only one being buried.
